It comes as no surprise to me that the Christian church (Catholic and Protestant alike) is in decline when the central foundation – the Bible – is not given the respect and treatment that it should be granted. Given that the Bible is the foundational scriptures of the Christian faith, while it may be held in high esteem, it certainly doesn’t seem to have a place within the Christian life. In recent discussion with friends, browsing various churches on the Internet, looking at the top 25 Christian podcasts, it brought to my attention how little the Bible is actually taught.
What a day! I tell you, what these eyes have witnessed in the last 12 hours has just made somewhat of a crazy day. My day began with a visit to my mission agency to join in their weekly staff meeting. It proved to be quite extraordinary with a visit from an old missionary lady who had recently just returned from a trip to PNG. What was so extraordinary about that?
Life is so full of decisions, some big and some small. Well, this one isn’t that big of a deal but hey, I need to put something on this blog of mine (and it also serves as a great distraction from studying for the exam I have tomorrow). So, basically, my laptop has been without a battery for quite sometime now and while it serves me well, it is somewhat impractical to take with me on my travels.
