Smiles…intriguing aren’t they? (The kid is cute as well…) They convey so many different messages, so many different emotions, and tell so many different stories. A smile may say, “I love you.” A smile may show how much joy there is between friends. A smile may tell the story of how one overcomes certain difficulties in life. A smile at times can be confusing. According to my BMI (body mass index), I am overweight. However, the stated limitations of the BMI I find quite interesting, as it were in my case, that it overestimates the body fat in athletes and others who have a muscular build. I wouldn’t necessarily say I’m of a “muscular” build, but I can see why the BMI is of no great value. It gives you an indication but it’s always on the dot.
IM (MSN, AIM, Skype, etc) statuses no longer carry the same meaning that they are supposedly meant to carry. When your status is “Away” it typical states that you are away from your computer. However, it has become almost habitual for so many people to put themselves on “Away” or “Busy” because they simply don’t want to talk to (certain) people.
